Mehmet Kaptan A - Simrad ES80 and A2004 Autopilot

PROMAR supplied the Simrad ES80 fish size measurement system and the Simrad A2004 autopilot set for the fishing vessel Mehmet Kaptan A.

The Simrad ES80 is a scientific echo sounder that uses a split-beam transducer to measure the size distribution of fish in a school before the catch. The skipper can check whether the target species and size are suitable before setting the net, reducing unnecessary catch, time and fuel. With the Simrad A2004 control unit, the autopilot holds the set course automatically and reduces the skipper's workload on long passages.
