Promar Deniz Malzemeleri began its journey in the maritime sector in 1991 in Fenerbahçe, one of Istanbul's historic and long-established maritime centres. In its early days the company focused on supplying durable work overalls, one of the most basic and vital needs of shipyards, and quickly earned a solid place in the sector through honest trade and a commitment to quality products. This modest start with work overalls laid the strongest foundation for Promar's growth in the following years into a reliable, pioneering brand with a wide range of marine products.

With the distributorship of the Shipmate brand, PROMAR began supplying electronics to ships in addition to providing service for vessels undergoing maintenance and repair at Turkish shipyards.

The growing PROMAR family took over the Türkiye distributorship of many marine electronics brands, led by SIMRAD, and moved to Tuzla to be closer to the shipyards it supplies with electronics. Since then, it has continued to provide the best service to all its customers.

Mastervolt and CZone products joined the PROMAR range, bringing energy and digital switching systems. Alongside navigation and communication systems, PROMAR began offering single-source supply, integration and service for vessels' energy management and electrical distribution.
